later I like the size, weight and power of this grinder, but I have a couple of serious concerns. The gear on this grinder heats up faster and gets hotter than any of my other angle grinders. The gearbox quickly heats up so much that operation without gloves is not possible. I am very concerned that all this heat will greatly reduce the life of this grinder. Another thing I don't like and almost can't believe is that Bosch chose to use PLASTIC for the bottom of the gearbox that holds the big main axle bearing. I have several angle grinders, including a few cheap and basically disposable grinders, and none of them heat up that quickly or use plastic on any part of the gear case. Only time will tell if this car actually dies an early death, but every time I use it I worry about the heat this thing produces and just knowing that the wheel axle bearing is mounted in plastic.
