I was hoping to repurpose one of the extra folding tables I have in my basement for dog grooming using this arm. I could attach it to the plastic table, but not secure it well enough to keep it attached. The heavier composite table has a metal frame for the legs. The clamp on the arm does not open wide enough for the arm to be fastened inside that frame, so I can’t get enough of the clamp secured under the table for it to be stable. It might work well on some other table, but I gave up and bought a Flying Pig brand grooming table with a must sturdier arm included.
