I copied over 800 photos from an old iPad to SDHC using this reader - it took 10 minutes but it worked: 1. Format the card to MSDOS FAT2. Insert card into reader3. Connect to your iPad/iPhone, the latest version of iOS has inconvenient file management in Photos app. There is no "Select All" so you have to select a photo and then swipe with a pinched finger to select the photos. Worse still, it is impossible to limit the file to be able to select more than 500 photos. You only need to select a few hundred at a time4. When selected, tap the action icon and choose to output to Files app5. In the Files app, select the card reader as the target. Files are copied, but there's no progress indicator - you'd think Apple's software developers figured that out with the 14th iteration of iOS - but no. is working
