Good and inexpensive pliers
You get 9" and 12" pliers at a very good price. They have silicone on the gripping surface and where you hold the tweezers. which protects my non-stick pans and my hands. I figured I needed 12 inch corn on the cob to extract corn on the cob from boiling water. 9 inches are actually enough. A potential downside is that the tweezers don't have one-piece arms. The inner edge of the tweezers is open. Food or water can get stuck there. I had no problems but be aware.
