This switch is easy to use and understand. It comes with 4 USB cables so you can connect up to 4 computers. They supply the USB material for the items. I have a wireless mouse/keyboard connected to one port, a printer to another, and a 128GB external hard drive to a third. I connected 3 computers and they can all share the same mouse/keyboard/printer/hard drive with one click. One thing that really stood out to me was the dedicated buttons on the box for each computer. Many other switches have a single button that you press repeatedly to switch between computers, allowing you to choose one. So if you are using computer 1 and want to use computer 3, press the button 2 times. This can cause computer 2 to wake up and crash when trying to connect to a device that is blinking by. These dedicated keys keep you from switching between computers you don't want to mess with. I like being able to switch from computer 1 to computer 3 and back and bypass computer 2 when not in use. I didn't plug in the small wired remote as I have the box within easy reach on my desk.
