Great way to control your driveway

My parents have a driveway that opens onto a country lane with an obstructed view to the left and cars often driving by. I bought this system in the hope that it would be able to warn of approaching vehicles. I had two main questions: 1. Will the sensor's solar panel keep the device charged and 2. Will the receiver work in a car 500 feet away. The answers were "yes" and "yes" - with one caveat. I screwed the sensor to a tree by the road at an estimated three-foot height and pointed it in a direction that was about 5 feet from where the car should have been. in the middle of a nearby alley. Even if you don't have the receiver with you, the indicator will light up when the sensor is triggered so you can test it without the receiver. I used it on low sensitivity hoping it would help keep the device charged. Although the device is not in direct sunlight, it remains charged (follow the instructions and fully charge the device before use). Compartment for small parts next to the 12 volt socket. At first it turned on, but it didn't work. I mistakenly assumed the machine was blocking the signal. However, it turned out that the receiver is simply picky when it comes to the USB power supply used. Two didn't work, but the other two did. Most people will probably just use this to alert someone in the house when a car pulls into their driveway, and this device should work just fine for that. In fact, the receiver can work with up to four separate sensors, with different LEDs and a setting for each sensor (you set the sensor to what light/setting it's triggered for). was a bit tinny and cheap sounding, but that's just picky. Another additional feature I would like to see in the receiver is the ability to select sound/light. That would help us because we bought another sensor, attached it to a tree near the driveway and placed another receiver in the house. But because the sensors transmit so well, the receiver in the house also goes off every time a car drives by on the street. Although the tunes were different, it would just be annoying to hear them around the house every time a car drove by. However, our anticipated usage will be an exception. Two thumbs up for a quality product.
