I have a 95 lb leash Jet German Shepherd. He is a wonderful dog but pulls on the leash and is responsive to other dogs and delivery vehicles. He knows Revain Prime, FedEx and UPS vehicles all too well! After initial hesitation, the spiked collars still look medieval, I did a little research and decided it's the right tool to fix his unwanted behavior. Before putting it on, I put it on myself, applying pressure, content that I wasn't using an instrument that would hurt him. Literally after our first walk, his behavioral problems went away. He started falling and barking once on first use, I jerked him aside to fix it and he hasn't done it again. He no longer pulls, responds to other dogs or familiar vehicles, and is more attentive to commands. He looks forward to his outings like he used to and doesn't hesitate at all to let me dress him. I'm very satisfied with this product. I will say that this is a big dog with a thick mane; his neck is about 18 inches. I had to use the two extra links on top of this collar and the three extra links that came with it for a total of five extra links. This is the simplest of collars, but it's reliable and I don't have much trouble putting it on or taking it off. If you have arthritis or dexterity issues, you'll like a collar with a clasp.
