Review on 🔀 JR Products 62255 1/2" Brass Diverter Valve - 3-Way MPT x MPT x MPT by Kevin Folsom

There has been some confusion as to how this valve works. I went ahead and bought a piece for research. There is actually an arrow at the bottom - it shows the primary flow of water from the inlet to the outlet. A tee is a bypass (at least for a hot water system). A valve is not a sphere with an L drilled into it; it's a semi-circular plastic gate that switches between output and bypass. Turning the knob 45° will result in a small leakage from the inlet to both outlets. 4/5 rating because of the plastic outlet - I don't see it aging well.
