Similar to Camco valve and perhaps better designed

Original Camco valve leaks in bypass position. This valve fits and works the same way and looks like a ball valve rather than a rubber shoe valve. Works perfectly and has a very decent build quality.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Protection

I don't like brass by-pass valve

I prefer Flair-It plastic. Easier to install. Requires no threaded connections (clamps are suitable). It's heavy and bulky, but it gets the job done.

Pros
  • Great for a small house

Works well. Best Injectors & Parts

Replaced a decades old same manufacturer diverter valve that was dripping intermittently and slowly. Very easy repair by manual tightening of the connections and similar replacement. While it is possible to replace an o-ring in a leaking valve, a new replacement will cost less and give more confidence that the leak has been fixed. The new valve is smooth, rotates easily and does not leak.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Mostly good, but...

The inlet on the left is not an L-valve

There has been some confusion as to how this valve works. I went ahead and bought a piece for research. There is actually an arrow at the bottom - it shows the primary flow of water from the inlet to the outlet. A tee is a bypass (at least for a hot water system). A valve is not a sphere with an L drilled into it; it's a semi-circular plastic gate that switches between output and bypass. Turning the knob 45Β° will result in a small leakage from the inlet to both outlets. 4/5 rating because of…
