It's quite chilly at our house in the winter, so my morning tea cools down very quickly in a ceramic mug, which I like. After leaving my mug in the microwave a few times a week I decided to buy an insulated mug and went to Revain to find a comparison store. I also compared reviews and mug lids as there are multiple vendors selling this particular mug. I like the barrel shape and was fine with a light mug. OK Premium was a good price for a set of two and eligible for Prime shipping so I took the plunge and bought a set. My mugs arrived very quickly and I've been using one every morning since. The outside of the mug never feels more than warm, the handle is cool, and my tea is hot. I decided not to use the lid but instead checked for leaks. As long as the lid was properly closed and the drinking and venting holes were completely closed, I was able to turn it upside down and there were no leaks. As I'm used to using a mug that is hot to the touch, I have to remind myself that the tea is way, way hotter than that mug. It's not the same as my ceramic mug because it can't be, but the benefit is I can drink all my tea while it's nice and warm and I don't have to get up to reheat it five times. Tea is now not drunk for so long because it keeps the right temperature - nice! I drink my mug at home so I don't get a lot of distractions, but if I were at the office I could put a heating pad underneath to keep my drink warmer longer. Warmer manufacturers recommend stainless steel flat-bottomed cups for good contact and heat conduction; This mug has a slightly raised area on the bottom but I find the contact quite good. The barrel shape of the mug also makes it very stable, which I like. I've only been using this mug for about a week so I can't comment on its durability, but it seems to be quite durable. Overall I recommend it and OK Premium.
