French fries, tomatoes, peppers excellent in small cubes. Half or even more tomato slices or their puree. It's a little tricky to peel tomatoes, but I like how they turn out. Do not use for spinach. It just sticks on top. VERY spicy just ask my finger. I tried to tell my husband to use the glove and pointed a LITTLE closer to the blade. We tried frying with both cube sizes and preferred the smaller one. We usually do this in a bowl rather than a container because it fills up too quickly and the fries are sometimes quite long that they don't fit in the container. The pressure plate on top comes out a little hard, I'm afraid I'll ruin the lugs. You can clean it while it's inside, but water can get in underneath. Overall he is holding up very well and I occasionally spank him. Aside from the lugs, my only concern is the separation of the top from the bottom, again for fear that those lugs might break. We haven't used all of the different blades yet, so I can't comment on all of them. I love this product.
