Real review without paying: Yes, get the music version.

This is a fantastic watch. I paid $289 before tax because I was patient. I received the 645 Music version and was not disappointed. Here are a few things that stand out to me. Fon, I'm quite a tech savvy/savvy guy. But this is my first "smart watch" because I found these products to be stupid. But a training/running watch? different story Especially since I don't want to walk around with my cell phone. I work in surgery in a big hospital. Buttons I like that there are buttons here, not a touchscreen. Now that I'm familiar with the interface, as I work, button navigation allows me to quickly jump to what I'm looking for and view the data I need without having to touch the very small screen with my sausage fingers. The keys are designed for runners. Accuracy When it comes to counting steps and miles, this thing is top notch. I don't know how they do it, but the watch registers and tracks my steps and runs fine. Mileage is consistent and accurate. It's really cool to know that even indoors, when I'm walking around a large hospital, going up and down several floors, this thing is tracking what I'm doing. Smartphone notifications: very well done. After getting familiar with the interface, it's easy to quickly reply with preset messages. The only thing that worries me is privacy. I don't want everyone to know when I fight with my wife or when we make up. So I hesitate to leave it when I have to clean for a long operation. Although I'm a private person. Maybe you're the type of person who takes this material to the max. Music: Love that Spotify comes as an offline option for this (i.e. no internet or phone required to play music). You can create playlists on Spotify and download playlists to your phone. There are other options for viewing playlists for recently played music. I use this all the time while running. It's not safe, but it makes running a lot more comfortable. Ecosystem: Apps and advanced features/data screens are truly designed for athletes. There are some pretty clunky apps that are popular and extend the watch's capabilities, rather than just an activity tracker. I use a weather minute app that tells me if it's going to rain more than I thought it would in the next 60-120 minutes living in the south. There are dials. OK. I like how some of them allow you to customize the data screens. Battery: excellent. 4d without charging. Accidentally left charging at work, 10% left on watch. I only hung around the house for 12 hours and was down to about 4% before I had to get my charger. Listening to and downloading music drains the battery pretty quickly. Downloading is the worst. But otherwise the efficiency of the watch is great with regular use. I am very happy with the battery. I charge up to 100% before running and run 3 times a week. 1 hour of operation gets me to >80% of full charge. I am happy. The screen is readable outdoors. The light button helps you see at night. It's always on (Apple tried to sell it as a feature). I'm happy with what this watch is doing. Coach I love the Garmin Coach and the integration with the watch. You have to set it up in the phone app, but it just rolls from there. I used it to decrease my run time and increase my distance. I have no idea how they calculate VO2Max and although I googled it it remains a mystery to me. In case anyone knows. Post. It's moving in the right direction though and I hope it's not a gimmick but really reflects that I'm getting better. The goals for each learning environment are appropriate and allow you to target completion or time. Love it. Alarm: This sounds silly, but I've now switched to Garmin almost exclusively to wake me up. It doesn't wake my wife like my phone does. The vibration just makes me stand up. hard to explain but a big plus. Pulse: Works great. I've used equipment at work to test this (pulse ox heart rate in a hospital setting) and it's accurate. Period. Cons: The bezel scratches very easily. I decided to buy a screen protector and put something on the frame. I wish it didn't scratch so easily. Lag The watch rarely lags when the buttons are pressed and takes some time to catch up. I think it's analogous to "waking up" the clock from sleep or something. but for me it's not a problem. Group: Regular group replaced. I didn't like it that much. But there are many options, depending on taste. In general, I liked the watch. Hope this review helps.
