Review on ZetexPlus Welding Brazing Plumbers Pad by Justin Verslues

It has pads, the review says it shouldn't be bad, yes it smokes (don't use it for chimneys and such), it protects great - I tested it by putting a plate underneath and installed on the concrete, and then light it with a tap flame for about 30 seconds. and it didn't damage/burn the sheet at all. the seams on the edges are not flame retardant and without them they will wear out badly. I got worried seeing all the bad reviews but thought I'd give it a try anyway. .btw propane burns at just under 2400 degrees, not many things smoke/don't burn at those temps so smoking is fine.
