Aside from being a great way to make bacon, it's also super cute and makes me laugh every time I use it. Following suggestions from other reviewers, I used paper towels under and over the strips of bacon the first time I used it. Next time I'll try without paper towels. Other reviewers have noted that cooking directly on the surface of a bacon microwave will stain it, but I feel like using paper towels defeats the purpose of draining this oven. I've had microwaves with bacon before and they all get dirty but who cares? I will not use it for anything else or display it. The bacon comes out perfectly crispy and keeps the bacon smell in my kitchen to a minimum. The lid releases steam but protects my microwave from splatters. That's why I bought it and it serves its purpose perfectly. I love bacon so will use it often.
