Versatile Waterproof Automotive Polishing: Sandpaper Assortment Review

Leaves scratches when wet. Not even 3000 grit. I bought a brand name from a dealership that I used before and had no problems. You get what you pay for.

In this project a freshly applied white gelcoat was wet sanded on a boat. The abrasives somehow discolored or soiled the gel coat during wet grinding. I can't understand why? But for this project I wouldn't use it if I were to do it again. I think if the color was dark everything would be fine.

WOW! How can you ruin something as simple as sandpaper so thoroughly. 1) The backing paper is brittle and will break at the slightest pressure. 2) Sandy seams turn into a gooey mush that doesn't cut, erase, or do anything other than make a giant mess. These people had a job making sandpaper and they couldn't do it.

I bought this pack of sandpaper for some home work but decided to give it a try for the first time! I'm polishing some small stones! I've used both wet and dry. It has withstood quite a bit of abuse and abuse. I am impressed! The paper held, as did the rough surface.

I understand why all the reviews are 5 stars, the sandpaper is of excellent quality. I used to use 3M paper but decided to give it a try. The same thing. I like that the paper can get wet and doesn't crumble. This is important for certain jobs that require the application of some water to lubricate the surface. Next time I need more I will buy from this seller again.

Most of the pieces are cut at an angle, making them difficult to fit on the mill. I tried cutting them straight but they are too short to fit on a grinder. When I finally installed one of these, it ripped within minutes. In fact, it breaks a bit when bent to fit into a grinder. I only use them for hand sanding with a block of wood. I will definitely not buy these again.

I dare say this was probably the most amazing group of sandpaper ever made. I fully completed the project only to find out my wife and mother in law thought they were trash and threw them away. Never used them at all. I really hate it. They looked and felt like something of really great quality. I particularly like that you can achieve such an extreme result with such a high grain size.

Some of my less expensive imported electric guitars have square-edged fretboards that are difficult to play. The only advantage of this sandpaper is that it holds together, we can get a way I won't tear, it won't crumple like many other sandpapers. . Now for the cons the sandpaper is just awful no question so it's just absolutely despicable I don't sand evenly it wears out so you know I would of course give it a try I've tried sharpening their handmade knives.
