The multimeter itself is a great tool. The packaging is strong and can be used to protect the counter in the tool box from scratches and mishandling. HOWEVER: The only HUGE downside to this product is that the leads are not detachable and the contact points at the end are sheathed and protected in a way that ON-THE-FLY resistance measurement is problematic. The non-removable wires must be folded when not in use, and while there are fairly strong strain reliefs, they wear out and eventually break. A non-contact EMI detector is standard and works well.
