The solution is a different type of shift linkage that eliminates the heme's weak joints. Compared to the $100 HD part, this $19 part was worth trying. The bolted ball joint design eliminates the need for weak joints that can break. A strong one-piece shaft also makes a big difference when shifting. Shifting is much more reliable and direct compared to the OEM linkage. If you ride an HD, I highly recommend replacing the failed linkage with this one. You can't go wrong. I'm ordering another one for my other Harley.
