I needed a foam roller for a long trip and it didn't disappoint! Easily reaches the muscles and tenses up without much effort. The handle is a little uncomfortable and thick, so it becomes painful to hold in one place once attached. Definitely not ergonomic, but very useful in a pinch! I've used it while driving, waking up, before bed, before and after yoga/exercises. Gentle on the upper and lower body, but a bit difficult with any leg load, as it doesn't "roll" off the handle. If you've used Theracane, you'll love this quick relief and easy access! Carry it in your purse, in the car, by the bed, anywhere. It's not too big. Place it in the freezer for easy chilling (although it's not filled with water and freezing can crack it). Happy with this purchase.
