Warning: I'm crazy! But seriously, I love this pen! I am bringing home a ragdoll kitten in six weeks and after spending over $1,000 to get it I will not leave it at the mercy of our German shepherd if I can't be home with him. This pen takes up quite a bit of floor space. space, so at my request my husband was kind enough to build me a giant lazy Susanne. We used an old broken computer chair, some plywood, some felt and a round vinyl tablecloth and then put a pencil on it. I have read in other reviews that the underside is not waterproof so a vinyl tablecloth would be invaluable as would puppy mats. And now I have storage underneath as well and can easily rotate the handle without the risk of it snapping or tearing. I have this handle right next to my bed so the height is only about an inch shorter for easier getting in and out and for filling food and water bowls. It should be noted that the zipper at the top starts and ends almost directly opposite the door. So if you are going to be reaching out a lot or using something electrical you should plan this area so that it is close to an outlet and has room to get/walk around the whole paddock. Another reason why lazy Susan would be so helpful! I put everything necessary for the kitten and took photos from above and inside the door. I put the gallon pitcher in her favorite bed to give an idea of how big it is compared to everything else. She will only be in the paddock to eat, go potty or when I need to go so the remaining space is fine, but if you plan on leaving your pet for a long period of time I recommend a larger size. And I would only use Lazy Susan for small animals as it is not stable enough for medium or large animals.
