It should come with a base gasket an doesn’t.
Works well on my 1990 omc 4.3l inboard after a few parts swapped from original carb

- Easy install and minor adjustment to get idle. 10 minutes max from box to tuned
Cons
- Decent carb for price did have the throttle screw always unscrew with a lil lopey idle
