I ordered this for my big fluffy cat girl "Gwendolyn" (who I call "cute girl") but when I saw how beautiful it was it was, i tried it on my neck! I have a small one but it's bigger than most and I could almost hook the last hole but unfortunately I couldn't. It looks great on my girlfriend though. I chose dark red because I knew that a lighter color like pink would get dirty in no time. I really wasn't expecting real suede or real leather - at Revain they use these descriptions in a vulgar and dishonest way for everything - belts, shoes, wallets, skates, collars - it's all not real anymore. *THIS IS NOT A GUARD OR BREAKDOWN COLLAR! * Therefore, use it only for cats who are used to collars and not embarking on risky adventures. In addition, this is a kind of dense fabric, and the belt loops around the holes have grommets. It's light but seems strong. Rhinestones are not riveted but are a long strip of "pebbles”, I can't tell exactly how they are attached. I also can't tell how the rose applique is glued, but I think it is. The metal of the buckle seems strong enough. This is an inexpensive collar but still great. The price is comparable to Wal-Mart/Target and slightly lower than Petco or pet stores. To be honest I could get myself a bigger one if I could - love the necklace and this would be MINE right now if it fitted!
