Review on ๐ŸŒก๏ธ Advanced Programmable Polder Classic Digital In-Oven Meat Thermometer with Timer by Michelle Hall

Excellent thermometer, very long life

This is my second thermometer with a polder probe. My first one still works great after many years. This year I had to cook 2 large turkeys so I have to order a second thermometer. I use Alton Brown's salted turkey recipe, so a thermometer with a probe that lets me get an accurate temperature reading is essential. With this polder model (and my old one) I can easily enter temperatures. Something has changed since I bought my old sensor. The end is not pointed, making it easier to penetrate the flesh. I hope the investigation into this matter will take as long as my current one. A few years ago I had a different brand and had to replace the sensors frequently. When I bought my first polder, I also bought a couple of extra probes. I still haven't opened the packages as the original works perfectly. The information is very legible. You have the option to use the alarm or not - why not use it I don't know, but there is a switch on the back to turn the alarm on and off. Another switch on the back lets you easily switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius.
