If you love coffee, you must try cold brew coffee. I find it has all the good flavors your beans can give but very little bitterness. My wife drinks it cold with milk and sugar, sort of like a Starbucks concoction. But I cook in the microwave for a cup and drink it black. It's actually good both ways. Either way, these filters work great with the Toddy cold brew system that I've had for years. Just a note: after I've made the brew, I rinse the filter and store it in the crisper drawer in my fridge (which doesn't have too many other uses, if you know what I mean). Then when I'm ready to cook the next batch, I boil them in a bowl of water for a minute. I believe this combination of measures will limit bacterial growth on the filter, which is good for both food safety and taste. I use the filter many times until it starts to look bad. They're a bit like a men's disposable razor in that nobody in the industry tells you how long to expect, the consumer just finds out what they think works.
