needs 5 nuggets to make 1.05 ounces instead of 3 1/2 as listed. 1 ounce of Nuggets contains only 161 calories, which is not enough for most average cats weighing 8-10 pounds. So a 5.5 ounce bag will last you even 4 days if you only feed it to your cat. that's 7.5 to 8 packs of food per month per cat, which would cost between $112.42 and $120 per cat. Unfortunately, this is not feasible for most cat owners, who often have 2 or more cats :( . Our cats only get 1/3 of the daily portion, because most people like it (as long as I sprinkle Fortiflora on top, this applies to all non-preserved cats) and i want to feed them as raw as possible but not break it.. and yes it would be cheaper to make our own raw diet but i don't trust the meat in our one bit so feed them raw to my cats so we're grateful that products like Primary are available, but we wish they were more affordable for multi-cat households.Due to this brand's price point of only 5.5 ounces, we decided to try Stella & Freeze Dried Raw Chevy before deciding if you buy more primary products or not S&C comes out cheaper per ounce when buying 12 ounce packets (70 cents off for example) and still likes their chicken salmon too but our old die Cats seem to prefer the original version more.
