Review on 🌬️ Efficient Room Dehumidifier: hOmeLabs 1,500 Sq. Ft Energy Star, Ideal for Medium to Large Rooms and Basements by Damon Murray

I've never given a 1 star review but it's pretty serious and not immediately obvious. I never use a hose barb, just a tank. For a while I was very happy with this car. The water in the tank is clean, as it should be. Oddly enough, the tank gradually discolored from sediment and a greenish-brown film that I eventually produced from organisms growing in the still water in the pool behind the hose outlet. Luckily I unscrewed and removed the cap at the exit of the hose, otherwise I wouldn't have found it. When I removed the cap, nasty water flowed out with green-brown growths and the inside of the hose attachment tube was covered with it. When I tilted the car backwards, even more bad water came out! This happens when the tank is empty or has been removed, which means that standing water constantly collects below the inlet level behind the hose nozzle. I could see the area with the flashlight through the coils. There's a damn petri dish built in because of the poor design, and it's impossible to get to to actually disinfect it. It's a recipe for Legionnaires' disease! For health reasons, please check if you own this device and use a tank! By the way, I've used hair and whirlpool dryers and I've never experienced this situation.
