upset. Measured values are constantly higher than reality. Even after calibrating several times

update. This meter seems to be reading inaccurately all the time. Even if the calibration kit is used several times. If you then go back to the original samples, the instrument will not read the readings accurately. I also tested the same water with my old test tube and drop tester and the meter consistently reads between 0.5 and 0.75 which is higher than the actual pH. With such inaccurate readings, this is not suitable for my aquarium, which should stay between 6.8 and 7.2. Very disappointed. The description mentioned "automatic calibration" so I was surprised that it needed to be calibrated before using it. You need DISTILLED water for the calibration. (Something most people don't have on hand unless you work in a lab). The kit includes a set of pH buffers needed to calibrate the tester. I don't know how often the tester needs to be calibrated, but the kit only lasts for one calibration. Also, the calibration button is located next to the power button, making it easy to accidentally reset the calibration. When I first used this to test my aquarium I found that it was 0.5 higher than my chemistry test kit which is used for most aquariums. I was hoping it would be more convenient than taking samples and using drops in test tubes and then comparing them to a spreadsheet. If I have to keep recalibrating the tester, the old dropper and test tube testing method might be easier.
