Great little pH meter

Great addition to my gardening toolbox. Good value for money, easy to use, nicely made and helps me get accurate pH levels in the water I feed my plants. It comes in a nice plastic case. I always have distilled water on hand so washing is easy. I recommend.

NOT AT ALL ACCURATE

This is the second ph meter I have received. He had the same problem as the first. Absolutely not exactly. In any case, the readings will fluctuate around 1.5-2.5. I tried calibrating it which reduced the swing to 1.2-0.7 swings. But the very next day we returned to the mass swing. Thanks for the one time exchange and thanks for my full refund, but the pH meter just doesn't work.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers

Used in hydroponics for pH testing

It's easy to use and comes with instructions for the calibration powder. RINSE WITH DISTILLED FIRST REQUIRED according to directions. I just wanted to get that across because if you're like me, you don't have this home. It speaks of recalibration when a lot is used for accurate measurements. I would say it needs to be recalibrated right out of the box as refills are 0.002 gauge right out of the box. The actual reading may take 1 minute before the number levels off. Sometimes it measures…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Terrible accuracy good for testing, measuring and checking

I followed the directions and made the buffers using the bags provided and distilled water. I then calibrated the first buffer solution, 6.86, and then repeated this for the other two. For calibration, I rinsed with distilled water after each buffer solution. At the end of g I lowered the pH meter into the first solution and it read 5.85. I dove into the first solution and it showed 3.96, dove into the final solution and it came out 7.4. I rinsed again and recalibrated, again cleaning with…

update. This meter seems to be reading inaccurately all the time. Even if the calibration kit is used several times. If you then go back to the original samples, the instrument will not read the readings accurately. I also tested the same water with my old test tube and drop tester and the meter consistently reads between 0.5 and 0.75 which is higher than the actual pH. With such inaccurate readings, this is not suitable for my aquarium, which should stay between 6.8 and 7.2. Very disappointed.

Terrible accuracy is good for substance analysis instruments

I followed the instructions and made up the buffer solutions using the sachets provided and distilled water. I then calibrated the first buffer solution, 6.86, and then repeated this for the other two. After each buffer solution I rinsed with distilled water to do the calibration. At the end of g I lowered the pH meter into the first solution and it read 5.85. I dove into the first solution and it showed 3.96, dove into the final solution and it came out 7.4. I rinsed again and recalibrated…

Ideal for cold testing soap

At first I was afraid to buy this but all the litmus papers had terrible reviews. I hate measuring things quantitatively with colorimetric chemistry. It was in the price range so I took a chance. I used it to measure cold worked soap after curing for 1 month. The pH range is assumed to be 9-10. The counter showed me 9.45. I was right in the middle and very excited. The number hasn't increased much. I haven't had to calibrate this yet. Keep in mind. the probe must be thoroughly rinsed before…

Pros
  • [✔High Accuracy]pH meter has sensitive electrode sensor, just press "ON". The result will appear on the screen in a few seconds, read the exact pH value.

As a scientific project, but not user-friendly

At first, the announcement did not contain any information about the complexity of use. For example, it boasts of "automatic calibration" and goes on to say that "also" the [included] buffer powder can be used (multi-step process). But you MUST use the powder as directed. And you also need to use more powder if (get it) the device is "inactive for a long time" OR "used too much". In other words, if you use too much OR too little, you will incur the additional expense of purchasing buffer powder

Pros
  • [✔Automatic temperature compensation]The pH tester has an ATC function, so it can be adjusted according to the water temperature to get the pH value almost instantly.
Cons
  • It was possible to choose a newer model
