The inner diameter of this plug is a little less than 2" which means it will dangle a bit in a true 2" hole. The problem with this is when cables pull on that side, they pull out of the hole or sit at an unsightly angle. I'll probably need to put some glue on this side to really get it stuck in my hole and not pull up See attached image to get an idea of what I'm faulting. Barring a poor fit, this is normal. But since the whole goal for me when purchasing it was to have an aesthetically pleasing cord opening, the grommet's angled position didn't really work for me.
