Wondering how I know not to use anything else in BMW? Because I was the guy who stood in the auto parts store and thought. This $8 fluid is for ALL manufacturers. Believe me, this is not true for ALL manufacturers. I installed this cheap thing in a BMW and was rewarded with a symphony of sounds ranging from high pitched tones to deep grunts. Try to make a 3 point turn when your car is squealing on all available frequencies. I'm pretty sure he was making so many loud noises that nearby dogs were in agony. Good. so i'm confused I saved a few dollars and it was terrible. Draining all that cheap liquid isn't that easy. Once all the cheap liquid is drained and filled with that liquid in the car, the dogs won't run to safety. Now it is absolutely quiet and spins great. Just buy this stuff to get started. This is cheaper in the long run and much easier than removing everything else from the power steering. Trust me, at first I did it in a stupid cheap way. Just do it right to start.
