Review on πŸ’¨ High-Speed AmazonBasics USB 3.0 Cable for Industrial Electrical Applications by Evan Hernandez

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Surprisingly not for heavy daily use.

This cable failed after a year so why am I giving it 5 stars? I used this cable as my everyday phone charger cable, which should tell you it took a lot of twists and turns to make. As an engineering student, I was curious about what's inside. After it failed I disassembled it to find the point of failure and how well the cable was made. Overall, this cable is ridiculously well designed. The breaking point was the negative power cable and this was due to excessive bending. Thick tinned copper wire was 7 core. I think this finer wire for power cords would increase its lifespan. Everything was heavily shielded and all wires were stranded with tinned copper. The power cables had a very large cross-section (no less than 21 g). All data lines were twisted pairs in individually shielded pairs with a twisted filament for reinforcement. The terminals had shielded covers soldered to the cable's braided shield. I could go on. I would stress that these are great cables for a professional environment and should last forever in everyday use with minimal flexing. I want to emphasize, that these are great cables for a professional environment and should last forever in everyday use with minimal flexing.
