Replaced the stock cabin filter with this on my 2012 Ford Fiesta. As several other people have said, this was a real problem due to the location of the filter. The box came with pretty good instructions on how to install the filter, but I found them a bit redundant compared to the video tutorial I found online. Specifically, the instructions that came with it said to remove the glove box and unhook the air duct behind the glove box, which actually seemed unnecessary to remove the filter cover and remove/replace the filter. Loosening the air duct probably helps if you only have one large screw to remove the hex bolts on the cover, but for me it was perfectly doable without removing the air duct or glove box. One thing to note, this filter was significantly weaker than the stock filter that came with the car, making it a lot harder to ensure it was installed properly and not knocked off. I suspect that with a more powerful filter it might be a bit more difficult to actually get to an awkward spot, but at least you'll be (slightly) more confident that the filter is actually filtering all of the air going through the duct, and not only Allow air to flow around the filter as it is pooled.
