In addition, the door closes with two retractable metal pins that fit into the doghouse's top and bottom plastic ledges. Based on what I see and my past use, I would expect these holes to fail at some point since they are not reinforced with any type of metal insert. *Note to manufacturer - fix this! Also, you need to make sure those pins are really secure in the holes! Again and again the pins were inserted incorrectly and my dog was able to push and open the door. The pins and holes are a bit small and it's difficult to fasten the door quickly without paying too much attention. Always check they are safe when packing your pet.
