🐶 Petmate Aspen Pet Traditional Kennel, 28 Inch, Ideal for Dogs Weighing 20-30 Lbs, Model 41300 Review

I bought two of the 28 inch versions for two of my corgis and they work great. I photographed both in one box, plenty of space. They weigh 20 pounds (another pup) and 29 pounds, a good size for this breed or any breed up to 30 pounds.

IF you want a kennel that is only 14 inches, get one but it is NOT 16.7 inches. The rating is based on an inaccurate description. Put 1 to save other people's time in the long run. This kennel is NOT the size listed.

Cheap scrap. Looks like some pieces were put together to try and build a kennel. The top and bottom are the same shape, so the bottom is lumpy and uncomfortable for pets. Top and bottom don't go well together. See photos inside. I would NEVER trust this cage to transport animals.

We made this so we could take our cat to the vet without wrapping her in a towel (which never works). Basically the door is big enough that we can lay the kennel on its side and then gently lower the cat down and close the door. He was fine (as well as agreeing with the conclusion and everything leading to the vet) and once I put an old sweater in it, sometimes slept there. Digestive problems I can bleach the kennel.

The size 24 inch perfectly fits my 5.6 kg small cat according to air travel size standards. However, it wasn't big enough for my larger 14 lb cat. I just ordered one to be sure, so don't be foolish. I ordered him a 28 inch model which I know will be perfect. It's very durable and I love that it comes with metal screws. Sizes are exactly as stated. Why should I put my animal in it? Why mold two of the same plastic parts, process them the same way and just glue them together? How is it practical for each animal? Are all top/roof handle inlets and cutouts also bottom? The? I've never experienced that before in any cage I've ever gotten for any animal I've ever had. Sturdy after assembly. But with so many nuts and bolts used to hold the top and bottom together, it's definitely impractical to take it apart again when needed. In addition, the door closes with two retractable metal pins that fit into the doghouse's top and bottom plastic ledges. I have had several different sized pet boxes and have assembled/disassembled them many times for storage. This is the only thing I would consider substandard - there are only a few parts so it's odd. The packaging says the plastic is made in the USA but apparently the doors aren't or they have poor quality control. The door was about 1/4 inch larger than it should be and doesn't fit well.
