Works only on electric

Works exactly as advertised. Connecting to Wi-Fi was quick and easy, and I love that I can finally dim our Costco outdoor string lights a little. Of course, it would be better to have two separately adjustable sockets as in the non-dimmable version, but that works perfectly for me. The outlet should be on, it turned on automatically. I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't come until the next "event" which would be a power outage. However, I wish there was a dark mode in the Kasa app.
