I bought two of these but have only used one so far. I had to boot into G-Parted to delete some partitions and erase the SSD installed there. This worked great, but when I booted into Windows I couldn't see the drive in Windows Explorer (or whatever it's called in Win 10). When I opened Disk Management I saw the drive but couldn't assign a drive letter to it or format it from Windows so I tried again in G-Parted thinking I'd missed something. Not me. The same thing happened. Then I tried one of the UGREEN plastic cases (I also have several of them) and everything worked perfectly. I was able to do whatever I needed in G-Parted and I could see the drive in Disk Management but not in File Explorer until I gave it a drive label in Disk Management. I didn't even have to reformat the drive in Windows. So I spent an extra $2 on two of these that I can't rely on. They look great and I like the rubber feet on the bottom but if I can't work with them in a Linux environment like G-Parted and Clonezilla then they are useless to me because I use these external drives to power my internal SSDs and SSDs to build hard drive. I wonder what warranty applies to this product?
