so i went for the brown (grey) mailbox as my neighbors have black, green and brown options. I've noticed that darker colors tend to fade on top and it's not as noticeable with a tan. For some reason mailbox hackers didn't attack this one. They always broke every soft metal box I had. A heavy metal box that they couldn't break, so they just knocked it off the pole. they couldn't take it. Ha! Why did I switch? They eventually smashed the top of the wooden post. Since this mailmaster only needed a short mail, I cut off the damaged part of the mail and put it over it. The mailbox pranksters in my area still work with the metal boxes, but they don't touch the plastic boxes. I do not know why.
