These faucets were designed by someone in the know. They have o-rings or gaskets on each mount to prevent water ingress. Installation is very easy and quick. The materials are of high quality, so not only do they look good, they also don't rust. I bought my previous faucets for a much higher price at the local hardware store but they lasted less than 3 years. When I went to remove it I found that the nut on the valve was rusty and I had to cut it off. Apparently there wasn't a good seal around the base of the valve and the nut was a cheap material that rusted. Because it was in a closet and difficult to get to, it took several hours. That's why I was so excited when I saw how this set is designed and what material it was made from.
