This is a Great Gel poly nail kit, it has everything that you need to start doing gel poly nails. So a little clarification - Gel Poly Nails are like acrylic nails but much easier to DIY & way less smell/mess. Gel polish is a type of nail polish that is super durable and can have a glossy or matte finish. Both use UV light to cure (harden) vs. air drying like standard nail polish. Basically they are a resin like polymer. This kit is the Gel Poly nail only - not gel polish. The gel is colored - a real time saver. Ever since covid we (my two daughters and myself) have been doing our own gel nails & polish at home. You will still need to purchase a UV light if this is your first foray into DIY gel nails/polish. The gel poly nail process is pretty easy and these products work great - very minimal, almost no mess, low odor and great result. The included tools are really all you need for both the nail and polish application. All the included tools are quality made and really all that you need to get started. The Nails and top coat are very durable, I have to take it off due to regrowth vs. chipping. This is soooo worth it if you want to have gel nails with out $20 per trip to the nail shop. I have 2 little girls and they love having their nails done but they are so rough that it comes of in no time - such a bummer when you pay someone to do them. With this kit they get to have their nails done whenever they want (or are able to sit still long enough). The biggest bonus is that when they are done with the light they are done - do not have to sit around still for 10-15 minutes while traditional polish dries. There are a bunch of youtube videos you can watch. I prob watched 10 before I felt confident enough to tackle the Gel Poly Nails on my own & it was so easy - I did my own nails all my myself.
