I have a Thinktool Mini and this one among other Thinkcar products. I can't see any difference other than downgrading the key. The Mini has a nice spring-loaded lock that keeps the key flush with the tool. This you just rip out to use and stick in when you're done, and to be honest it doesn't quite fit. It's also more expensive for some reason. They even have the same firmware version. Functionally, as far as I can tell, they are identical except for the defect. I used them a while back and turned them off when they were at 80-85% power. About a week later I went to a scanner and both ThinkTool Minis were dead. The Thinkcar Pad10, which I did the same, had 76% charge left. Maybe it was an accident, but unfortunately I have to leave it on the charger from now on. The software is "OK", it does have some driving tests but not as many as the pad10, but the pad10 costs 2x the money. The update rate of EOBD is decent and useful for diagnostics, the update rate of manufacturer-specific modules varies greatly depending on the vehicle. If you can only get one, go for the original Mini
