Good Value - my new review

I recently went to one of those online custom blind and window covering websites and put in the measurements for a standard double sliding patio door. I needed blackout curtains as this room was just renovated to be a new bedroom. The cost for the curtains was nearly $400! With a recent list of home renovation fees adding up, I needed a less expensive option and so ordered these at less than 10% of the cost of a custom order. I’m pleasantly surprised! These curtains, which I bought in blue, are a nice shade of denim blue and have the linen textured look I wanted. They fit well and appear to be well made. The lining is the only thing I would like to see improved, it feels like a plastic shower curtain. I have not washed these, but plan to do so after they’ve been hanging for several days to help remove the creases. It does say you can iron the fabric side with a steam iron - I’m hesitant to try that. This is a west-facing window with a lot of sun exposure, so it remains to be seen how well they will hold up. For the price I think these are a terrific solution, especially considering that the fabric swatches I received from that custom online source were really no better than this fabric.
