Just like described!

As you can see in the pictures, it 100%, completely blocked out the light from the HuGeEe window I have in the living room. (For reference: I live in the Deep South, so the heat + humidity. is honest to God. MISERABLE! here. & the A/C is an absolute necessity, a need not a want! So even though there are blinds on every window, it doesn’t help anything, -in regards to the heat seeping through- and I could tell this was the case, because my AC unit was kicking on back-to-back-to-back the entire day and that’s not normal or cheap. All due to the fact that it was having to counter attack🥷 the large amount of heat coming from the windows🥵 + the temp outside ‘aka the flames from Hell’s Kitchen’☀️that’s the perpetrator behind it all) -which btw, AC is very expensive and I was terrified to get that month’s electricity bill-So I was desperately searching to find curtains that weren’t just blackout but, more importantly, reflected the heat back outside! But I’m shocked at how few the choices are when I was looking for the back side (of this type of curtain) to be white! PLUS seeing some companies advertise as such, even though, the back of their "heat reflecting” curtains are solid black?!?! Like… I’m sure it "tries to reflect the heat” but if anyone is looking for: blackout/noise reduction/heat blocking curtains & passed elementary school knows "the color white = 0% absorption, the color black = 100% absorbing everything” DUHNeedless to say. The morning after I hung the curtains up, most of the wrinkles came out, and I SWEAR I walked into my living room and it instantly felt 20° cooler than by bedroom ((that also has a big window I don’t have a blackout curtain over yet))The only light in my living room was from my balcony door blinds and I honestly thought I had slept through the day because of how dark it was in my living room now, compared to how bright it use to be before! My only advice/complaint: I wish the top of the curtains didn’t have the rings but instead had the option to put the rod through a scrunched up top curtain piece but since it has curtain rod rings I put my curtain rod 4 inches above my window. That way NO light would show through the curtain rings or let any heat through 👏
