I have used several types of chain tensioners including cross/multi arm, this type and just bungee cords. This is my favorite. They are very cheap, easy to put on and seem better at not necessarily having to wear them. Pro tip: before first use, grab a pair of pliers and tighten each hook around the cable a little tighter. They come off very easily if you slip while attaching a final hook or two, they have no fasteners and are IMPOSSIBLE to find. If you lose one, the four hooks still provide decent tension, but if you lose more than one, you're in trouble. At this price it is of course worth buying 1-2 extras.
