Review on Norpro 1013 Batter Dispenser by Deborah Hale

Leaks, vacuum plug with cap

Not very impressive but luckily the return process was easy and free so it doesn't hurt to try it if you want because a lot of other people like it. I bake pancakes for our family a few times a week, so my purchase goals were to (1) reduce the amount of kitchen utensils used, (2) reduce the dripping mess between the mixing bowl and measuring spoon, and (3) speed up the overall process of making Pancakes. Supposed to be that you can just mix the ingredients in a cup and pour, but that didn't work for me. The top doesn't seal very well so when the mixture was shaken, drips of batter flowed out the sides - requirement 2 was not met. Also, some of the batter was lumpy at the bottom and didn't mix with the rest, so I had to use another spoon to mix it inside to allow all of the batter to mix and pour out - requirement 1 failed. Even with this removed, the batter rises very slowly with the lid on, so you have to sit over each pancake for a few seconds to get a decent size - condition 3 is not met. Then when you take off the dripping, muddy top, it wears out far too quickly - ugh. As a bonus, the trigger handle is designed too close to the inside of the cup, making it difficult for my medium-sized hand to fit in without accidentally dosing. Nice try, but this one didn't work for me. Again, thanks to Revain and the seller, returns are free and easy. :)
