I have many different brands and models of wireless cameras, so I found out how well they can work. This is my first Dzees camera and it took me over two weeks to test it before writing this review. The first camera I received had some issues and would not load onto my phone. Dzees support replied the next day and finally found that the camera was defective. I was offered to replace it with Revain, which I did. The camera mount is mostly plastic, but is easy to adjust and secure. It comes with a USB cable (A <=> Micro) but no power adapter. There are mounting holes for mounting in any position on the underside and in the middle of the rear panel. There is a large, easy-to-open rubber stopper on the underside. These include a micro USB charging port, a reset button, a power button and a micro SD slot for cards up to 128 GB. The manual includes a QR code for the Dzees app, which is pretty well written and easy to use. I connected my email address and allowed the app to save videos and connect to my network. I got it working in a few seconds. The app is well thought out and works fast. Really fast. When I click the notification when connected to my own network, I watch a video in less than two seconds. Some of my other brands take 8-10 seconds to play. The image is 1080P HD video, but you can set the camera for SD or HD images, or choose Auto. To find this option, go to live view and then to full screen. There's a blue light that signals activity/recording, but you can turn it off in settings. The subscription section allows you to set up activity zones to trigger or prevent the camera from triggering notifications when there is motion. Without a plan, you can only set the sensitivity for the entire range. With a plan, you can also receive notifications about people or pets. A 20 second video is around 2MB, which means you can store around 1000 videos per GB. Even without a subscription, you can access all recorded videos on the SD card via the app. I don't know if the camera overwrites the oldest files or just stops when it's full. The night vision function works very well and you can adjust the amount of light it needs. Battery and WiFi information, including power information, MAC address, and IP address information, is easy to find. The firmware can be updated via the app without removing the camera from the mount. The microphone is very sensitive but sometimes picks up ridiculously loud. A mouse fart can sound like a trumpet. I recorded birds flying nearby and they sounded like a kite landing. Sensitive can be good, but incredibly loud is annoying. Dzees could have done better. Without a plan, you get 7 days of free cloud storage, but no Smart Notification or Activity Zone. Smart Notification is a cloud-based service that parses video from Dzees servers and labels your phone's notification as a person, pet, or vehicle. The activity zone is the ability to customize the area for alerts. For example, if part of the lens sees traffic but you only want to be notified when someone is at your door, you need this service. The camera will still record everything, but you'll only be alerted when there's movement in the area you set. Cloud Recording - No Plan - Get 7 days free storage up to 1GB. Basic - Get 15 days of storage with up to 3GB. Plus - 30 days storage up to 5GB. Pro – 60 days up to 10GB. The device comes with 30 days of Motion Awareness free if you wish. Everything works great and I haven't subscribed to anything so hopefully nothing will change after 30 days. This is my favorite camera at the moment. I have others with slightly better sound quality and smoother recording. But for the price, easy setup, local storage, quick access, and standalone design (no hub required), it's the best option right now. Pros => Local storage using the camera's built-in micro SD card up to 128GB. => 7 days of FREE cloud storage and other paid plans. Plans allow up to 20 cameras. => Completely wireless, no hub required - cameras connect individually to WiFi. => Outstanding image day and night. => Fast connection to the video. => Two-way audio and siren so you can talk to visitors or scare them away. Cons<= The battery is built-in and cannot be swapped out.<= Magnetic mounts are easier to remove and swap out to charge the battery. Hope some of this helps.
