2002 Honda Civic LX - Fits Perfectly, Installed in Less Than 10 Minutes

I have a 2002 Honda Civic LX 4 door and it installed in less than 10 minutes. You could probably do it faster if you didn't spend 5 minutes looking for the right socket wrench lol. Make sure you have a 1/8" socket wrench (ratchet) ready before proceeding with the installation. Most likely you won't be able to install it if you only have a small key (no socket). Rearview mirror, drive out of the garage 'cause I'm a fool. Remove the inner panel in the corner of the driver's side window - it takes some force, but there are just a couple of metal spring fasteners holding the inner panel in place. You don't have to dismantle the door or anything like that, the only thing you have to remove is the inner panel in the corner of the window. And this also requires some strength. There are three (maybe four, I already know how many) nuts to unscrew to release the existing rear view mirror. I had some trouble trying to remove the broken piece, but if you tilt it to the right and squeeze the insert on the sides of the white socket you'll get it, no problem. Now remove the old broken piece. Do not remove the rubber pad that comes with the replacement rear view mirror. This detail is important to keep water and elements from seeping through the seams. Before installing a replacement, make sure the rubber covering the portion of the part that will contact the outside of the vehicle is installed well and attached to the part before attempting to install it in place . If this gasket is not seated and seated well, I believe you will have trouble installing the part fully and correctly. Put the part back in place and the white bushing will help hold it in place while you thread the nuts back onto the bolts. Gradually tighten each nut a little until it is secure, do not fully tighten one nut and then move on to the next. That's all! This part is great! My only issue is that the mirror is a bit warped, but you can't have everything. The deformation is noticeable, but not annoying.
