UPDATE! While we were not happy with the original rack we received, we were incredibly impressed with Allen's customer service. They asked for some photos which we provided. Judging by the photo, they sent a new frame. We noticed a difference in the new stance and Allen confirmed it was a newer model. So we increased the star rating because of the excellent CS. We'll be testing the new rack shortly and making one final performance update. Initial Rating *** We have determined that this product is entirely unsafe. Sleek silver metal struts pop out and then the strut dangles as you cruise down the freeway. In a word - thin. If you only use this occasionally for a quick trip to the park, then this might be a viable solution. However, when you want a durable luggage rack that can handle long journeys and the occasional bump in the road, something more durable is needed. We had to tape and zip this thing up to hold it together, but it still didn't work. After a breakdown on the freeway, we gave up. Not sure. Untenable. Allen Sports Deluxe 3 bike rack mount
