Review on QSFPTEK 1 by Joseph Elvis

I bought this device to use with Ubiquiti UniFi Switch 8-150W with the initial goal of just connecting to a 10/100 device that no POE needed, and leaving all 8 POE ports open for my POE gear. Unfortunately, we were unable to connect at 10/100 speed with this device on this SFP port. It will cycle through the LEDs endlessly, indicating that it tried to set itself up, failed, and then tried again. However, when I switched to using this device for a 1G uplink to my upstream switch, it worked great and had no issues. In general, the device works fine as long as you use 1G (and the problem may be with the switch, not the SFP transceiver). It does get a little warm, but that's okay and generally works as expected.
