I bought a customer return to save a few bucks. Some reviews reported terrible results and I was a little nervous. The manufacturer cannot develop a design for every application. Everything is pretty standard for me, so I took a chance. I have a new Dell Latitude laptop with Windows 10 and an old Gateway Dual VGA/DVI LCD monitor. This worked without any problems on a VGA port with 1440 x 900. As soon as I connected the device without connecting the VGA cable, the laptop beeped, recognized the port and configured it. I added a cable. Dell immediately appears in "duplicate" mode, no need to press the function key to turn on the second monitor. I then configured the display "Extension" and everything works great.
