I've always been interested in sous vide equipment so I finally got into it. For my first use I bought a select few ribeyes (nothing fancy just in case something goes wrong). I didn't read the instructions, just downloaded the app and just synced it to my phone (I'm sure if I had read the instructions it would be quicker and easier), filled the pot with water and got the sous vide to bring set water to temp. At first I thought it was noisy, but that's only at the very beginning when it gets the water up to temp quickly. Once the temp approaches cooking temp it actually gets pretty quiet and doesn't last long. I threw in my pair of ribeyes and after about an hour pulled them out, pan seared and done. It was pretty easy. The only thing I struggled with was that my pan wasn't hot enough to brown well, but that's on me. Otherwise it was pretty easy to make and the result was great. My cheap steaks turned out so tender and juicy and I did almost nothing with them other than salt and pepper. I'm excited to see what else I can make sous vide!
