Review on Solder Connectors Waterproof Shrink Automotive by Justin Sherman

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It seems to work

I was very skeptical about this product when it appeared on my social media feed but I decided to give it a try. First I calculated that 200 degrees Celsius would be enough to melt the solder. I twisted the cable for 10 minutes and it didn't work. I then made a second attempt and gave the connector the maximum temperature of 480 degrees Celsius that my soldering station's heat gun can produce; that seemed to work fine. In the end the product seems to do what it says on the tin but I have a feeling the temperature required to melt the solder seems a bit high and I think it might be too much for some of the thinner cables.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • I don't remember but something was
